It's 2007, and the 24hr brainwashing media is in full effect spreading a climate of fear ; The gorge between fundamentalist lunatics in the East, and fundamentalist lunatics in the West has never been deeper. Daily death-tolls from the ever closer wargames of the brave new world grow increasingly higher and the religious suicide bombers are taking full advantage of budget airline travel...

Deep in the suburbs of the UK's drug-death capital, a new underground project dubbed "THE BOMBS OF ENDURING FREEDOM" is born - not in a stable, but in the council-flat of mass destruction. The music is a collaboration of mid-paced Metal and ambient industrial and a bit more besides, sewn together by 'end times' tales of the 21st century and all with a D.I.Y punk ethic.

A cinematic journey from war torn down-town Baghdad, (via Guantanamo Bay International) to the cathedral's of commerce of the United States - does 'big brother pose a risk of identity theft ? Probably. Is Television destroying your mind and leading us all like sheep to the slaughter of the shopping-mall sales ? Probably. Will G.I. Jesus come to save all the self-righteous Neo-Cons in some modern-myth Rapture ? We doubt it.

In a time when rebellion is sold back to us as an image that pacifies us where virtually all music and art in the media are as revolutionary as a Che Guevara t-shirt, "The Bombs.." are determined to escape the confines of pre-determined sub-genres and paint-by-numbers "band" image in order to write some music that expresses their true sense of being "pissed off" at the modern world in an age of "global terror".

THE BOMBS OF ENDURING FREEDOM's main-man is James Fogarty - who is also head of music operations for multi-media project The Blacksmoke Organisation (see the 'Danger Global Warming' project for more info), formerly of eclectic metal project Ewigkeit (last 2 releases via Earache Records), and is half of the founding duo of black-metal oddballs The Meads of Asphodel.
